Yogyakarta@Indonesia #Yogyakarta, #Yogya, #Prambana, #Bprobudur

It has been a long time since my last post (back in 2012), always too busy to write something (excuses) but not today. Some work related incident trigger my thought today, over the years I has spent too much time worry about work and spend to little for myself and my family. I decide to make a change today I must strike for the balance and it start today. I will start with what I left behind since 2012, the subsequence trip after Awanmulan in 2012
Borobudur@Yogya

Yogyakarta or Yogya, nickname Kota Pelajar (Student City) was once the capital of Indonesia during Indonesia National Revolution from 1945-1949. Located in central Java of Indonesia at the foot of active Merapi volcano the city itself has a special charm which seldom fail to captivate visitor.

18th November 2013 which happen to be my 7 married anniversary, I decide to make this trip with my wife. Travelling from Kuala Lumpur to Yogya is simple, booked a flight and hotel from Airasia which have direct flight to Yogya, engage a local guide for 3days with private car and a list of place to visit that it! simple.

Tour guide pick us from airport, bring us for lunch and then check in to our hotel.

First lunch
Day1 - Prambanan Temple
Aslo know as Candi Rara Jonggrang, is well know ancient Hindu temple in Indonesia. It was built during 9th century, it express God is the creator (Brahma), Preserver (Vishnu) and the destroyer (Shiva). It located 18km east of Yogya and is one of the Indonesia UNESCO World Heritage site.
Is really hard to have a picture without people

Day1 continue - Sultan Palace
A well maintain and unique architecture palace, somehow I don't enjoyed this place very much. May be I don't really interested on the history of the palace and can't make any connection to it.

Dinner
Before my trip I have done some research for some nice restaurant in Yogya, although the tour guide recommended others place I insist I want to go to KESUMA restaurant, #KESUMA. I think I make the right choice, I like the environment and the food.

Day2 - Borobudur
This is the best part of the trip, I love the view of Borobudur in the morning. To enjoyed the sunrise moment you need to wake up around 5am. You can also visit this palace in the evening for sunset however I strongly recommend for sunrise.
The weather is chilling, sunrise is excellence and the best part is not as crowed as I expected so there is plenty of chances to take some nice photo without people. A must go place if you ever been to Yogyakarta.

Day2 - Merapi Volcano, #Merapi
Next destination suppose Merapi Volcano, however when we are on the way tour guide inform us the place is closed. Apparently the is some activities detected on the volcano and tourist are not allow to be in that area. :(

Detour - Water Castle
A nice architecture, a maze of underground water holes, secrete chamber, garden and pools. This place used to host function and bath place for sultan, er....is like bathing in a huge swimming pools.

That it, the end of the tour time to go home.
In a nutshell Yogya is a nice place to visit especially Borobudur, I have a great time there and the tour guide speak pretty well English, friendly and informative. Is a great place for a short getaway from busy city life.

AwanMulan

Awanmulan

Writing this artical from "Sunrise" house in Awanmulan facing tropical jungle with only cover by house roof top and my front view is totally exposure to the nature. Sound of cricket, frog and lots of different jungle tone can be heard all night long, some flying insect and mosquito are my witnesses when I'm writing. In one corner is my wife and my son another is my maid who come along with us this trip.

What is this Awanmulan? Where is this place?

If you search in google you should able to get to their website easily and many blogger have blog about this place and how nice it was.
I have been diving for the pass 5years and recently not diving a lot due to family commitment and etc. I'm not a mountain and jungle person I do not like to go against gravity, however Awanmulan is different, I like it when I first step into it.

Located in the state of Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia, around 90km from Kuala Lumpur (capital of Malaysia) around 1.5 hours drive by car. They is no public transport able to reach here private car or motorcycle is your only choices, this is the nearest paradise getaway from busy city life. To me is not very costly, however it depend on individual......

The Sunrise House

I took the decision to get the sunrise house as it can fit 4 person and it only cost me RM400/night, the facilities, the house, the environment is way better then any 5 star hotel in city infact is breath taking.
Various type of room offer from total privacy of 2 person room such as sasterawan and evensong to house that can accommodate 8 person such as Terata Bondo and Kesindang and mid size house such as Sunrise, all come with basic cooking facilities such as microwave, induction cooker, hot pot and etc.

Activities

So what can you do here? Nothing!!! Yes absolutely nothing!!! Just sit and relax, don't you agree that is wonderful? Well you can read, sleep, write and swim there is 2 swimming pool one for sun rise and one for sunset. If you wish to do some jungle tracking to near by water fall it can be arrange.

All in all a wonderful journey, with the most important people in my life, to a wonderful place! What a wonder full life.
100% will come here again, highly recommended 5 star rating, if to used a single line to describe this place I would said is simple, comfortable and peaceful.
